Disclaimer

by

Thank you for reading!

As you read and perhaps respond in comments or email, please be aware of the following:

1. I operate this web site at my own expense. I pay for the server. I use my personal computer to write the posts. Because this is a private blog, its posts reflect the opinions and interests of the author(s) and no one else. I/We have opinions, beliefs and points of view that you may or may not share. So if you disagree with my/our posts, see paragraph 2.

2. I encourage vigorous debate in the comments. Please read the Comments Policy atop every comment-entry block before you post a comment. I do enforce it!

If you don’t agree with what is posted here, that’s quite okay. You can:

A. start your own blog and respond there,

B. leave a comment. I summarily delete all comments using profanity, whether they support or oppose my posts. I may respond to your comment, but probably won’t; I just don’t have time.

C. email me, understanding that I entirely ignore flames and rarely have time to answer reader email, even though I wish I could.

D. celebrate the wonderful diversity of viewpoints found in our great country, even views you don’t agree with.

3. I do not represent any organization on this site. I do not speak on behalf of any organization. I am an elder of the United Methodist Church, but I am not speaking on behalf of the UMC as a whole here, nor any agency, board, commission, congregation or entity thereof. Period.

4. I sell advertising space on this blog in the form of Blogads. Please be advised that just because I accept an ad for publication, it does not mean I endorse the product or service advertised.

Comments policy

Commenting is provided as a courtesy only. I review all comments before they appear. I do not edit comments, I only approve or delete. My criteria for approving or deleting generally correspond to the following guidelines but in the end are subjective.

Comments using profanity automatically get tossed into the bit bucket - I never see them and neither does anyone else.

No personal attacks, name calling or commercial commenting. Links to your own blog site or relevant other web pages are fine.

Please be brief and relevant to the post.

I rarely answer comments, I just don't have the time.

    Don:
Saw you on O’Reilly one night… actually, my wife saw you and called to me. Somehow she knew that I knew you (I also know Tim Eades who shows up on FOX periodically….) You looked GREAT!!!! Read some of your essays and checked out your photos from the track meet. Impressive. I hope you’re doing well. I am no longer at CID. After two more years in Europe, I’m starting my second year at FT Monroe as the PAO for the Northeast Region of the Army’s Installation Management Agency. We have all the posts from NC/VA border to Canada, West to the Ohio border. It’s all BASOPS. Take Care! Sandy
