China invading Taiwan - another look
Brian Dunn says there is good reason that the Chinese are leaning more and more toward a military conquest of Taiwan, about which I posted last month.
Brian says that taking possession of Taiwan before the 2008 has been brought up by some senior Chinese military leaders, who were rebuked by the nation's leaders. But,
China can invade Taiwan and they want Taiwan. And they fear Taiwan will slip from their grasp forever if too much time passes. Nukes and deeply embedded democracy, if allowed to develop on Taiwan, could keep Taiwan independent as long as the Taiwanese want.
I think that China's capabilities to invade are far greater than people realize. ...
Here is another critical issue that neither presidential candidate seems to be addressing.
