Back to the drawing board, eh?
Rubicon 1, a privately-funded rocket whose owners hoped to use to contend for the $10-million Ansari X-prize, exploded Sunday in a test flight.

No one was aboard. The rocket made about 200 feet altitude when it blew to shards. The prize will be awarded to the first team that "sends a three-person craft over 100km (62 miles), and repeat the feat in the same craft within two weeks."
