Clark's run for prez means zilch
So said Dick Morris just now on Hannity & Colmes. Morris said that Howard Dean pretty much has the nomination sewed up, mainly because Dean's political machine is too well-oiled and prosperous.

I think a bigger question is whether the Democratic party can really welcome Clark. Whatever his claims of political beliefs and policy proposals, the fact remains he is a retired, four-star general, a member of the military machine of the imperailist United States.

In the general election that would be a big plus because most Democrtatic voters are really pretty moderate. But in the bitterly-fought primaries the extremes rule both parties (the Dems more than the Reps, I think). And I don't see Clark being able to appeal to the Dem primary voters nearly enough to win a nomination.
