Human shields running away
The UK Telegraph (via Tim Blair) reportxs that "human shields" in Iraq are wising up. Ordered by Saddam's regime to deploy to military targets, they are instead bailing out of Iraq.

"I am ashamed to be leaving you at this time of need, but I'm going out of pure, cold fear," Godfrey Meynell, 68, told the two Iraqi factory workers standing before him.

He was not, however, the only "human shield" fleeing Baghdad yesterday in a state of high emotion. Nine of the 11 British shields on the pioneering wave of red double-deckers left this weekend.
If you recall, these nitwits said when they left for Iraq that they were going to "shield" places like hospitals and schools and apartment houses from American bombs. Well, not only are they are all cowards, they are also stupid. It seems even Saddam's regime knows what these far-left ignoramuses don't: that American is not going to bomb schools and hospitals and apartments houses. Hence the commands given by the regime:
Dr Abdul Hashimi, the official overseeing their mission in Iraq, had issued the shocked group with an ultimatum: deploy to the "strategic sites" hand-picked by the government or leave immediately.
Ya know, pacifism just ain't what it used to be.
